Adventures in Syracuse, including restaurant reviews, festivals, real estate, shopping, stores, weird things, normal things and many things in between. I am a real estate agent helping people buy and sell homes in the city of Syracuse and surrounding areas.
I didn't realize there was a water tower in Franklin Square! I'll have to look some day when I'm in town.
I'm the crazy woman who contacted you through Etsy, hoping for help with a place to stay for a week so I could see my father in the hospital.
I totally understand why you didn't respond. I was pretty desperate at the moment I wrote, not thinking I'd get to see him in time.
The hospital helped us find a place that houses people with family in the hospital. We were there two nights, then my mother's guest room was available and we've been with her since last Friday.
My husband and I return to New Hampshire tomorrow. We wish we could stay longer. My father is slowly improving, however, and we feel better about his situation now that we've seen him.
It is our hope to one day move to Syracuse. We are far away from family in NH, and I grew up in the University area.
I hope, when my husband and I are closer to a move being a possibility, that you'll overlook my crazy contact, and allow us to talk to you about housing options. It's just the two of us, on a disability income. We live modestly, and can provide landlord references.
Many thanks for reacting to my desperate plea with a kind silence. A less generous person would have returned verbal abuse.
Please keep posting pictures of Syracuse. Every one of them reminds me of home.
